Grand Banks Yachts Adds Three to Key Positions in Boatbuilding and Design
New hires will help company continue advancement in methods and technologies

SEATTLE – June 29, 2006 – Grand Banks Yachts today announced the addition of three new personnel to key positions in design, development and quality assurance. The hiring reflects the company’s drive to continue new product development and innovation at an aggressive pace.

Brent A. Perry joined the Company as Vice President of Quality Assurance for all of Grand Banks’ manufacturing operations. He is responsible for ensuring that all new yachts meet the Company’s exacting standards for construction, craftsmanship and performance. Mr. Perry will also lead efforts to incorporate new technologies and construction techniques that improve production speed and efficiency. Prior to joining Grand Banks, Mr. Perry served as Director of Operations for Freedom Yachts, where he was responsible for design, manufacturing and customer service.

In addition, Grand Banks added Mike Kluftinger to the roster as Composite Manager at Grand Banks’ Malaysia factory. Mr. Kluftinger brings 17 years of manufacturing experience to the position, including seven years in management. He has extensively researched and implemented resin infusion processes and technologies, and will continue to build on this experience with Grand Banks. He comes to the Company from West Bay SonShip, where he led manufacturing and production operations as the company’s structural composites manager.

Also new to the Company is Earl Alfaro, who joined Grand Banks in the role of Yacht Designer. Mr. Alfaro brings over twenty years experience in the development and design execution of mid-sized to large fiberglass motor yachts. He has worked in the past with Grand Banks in the development of the original Aleutian Series model, the 64RP, and is well versed in the Company’s ongoing commitment to quality. Mr. Alfaro previously served in key design and development roles with Palmer Johnson Yachts, Pursuit Boats and other top manufacturers.

“Each of these new people brings vital expertise and a fresh perspective to our operations,” said Grand Banks CEO Bob Livingston. “They are all top performers in their respective fields, and we’re proud to welcome them aboard at a time when Grand Banks is bringing many exciting new models to market each year.”
