Grand Banks Appoints New Sales Manager to Northeast Region
Tucker West brings years of industry experience and success to key position at Grand Banks.

Seattle, WA – April 5, 2005 – Grand Banks Yachts, Ltd. announced today the hiring of Tucker West as Northeast Regional Sales Manager. Mr. West is well qualified to assume this pivotal role between the Company and its Authorized Dealers in the region, working to ensure owner satisfaction and strengthen dealer relationships.
"Tucker has worked with both sides of this business, dealer sales and manufacturing," said Neil McCurdy, VP of Sales for Grand Banks. "This makes him ideally suited for his new position as RSM. He understands the challenges dealers face, as well as the expectations of discerning customers. And most importantly, he knows the tough requirements that a manufacturer faces in managing a high quality dealer network, and the responsibility that goes with delivering the best boats we can build."
Mr. West is a long-time marine professional, as well as an experienced boater with extensive knowledge of motor yacht design and operation. Early in his career he worked for Sunsail in Thailand, where he helped established and grow their base of operations in Southeast Asia. Later he returned to the US and started a long and successful career with The Catamaran Company, he has been praised for his successes and contributions to that company's growth.
Although he has worked during recent years in Florida, Mr. West was born and raised in New England. He will be based at Grand Banks offices in Newport, R.I., and looks forward to the opportunity to return to the area to raise his family.
"The Northeast market is of critical importance, and I am keenly aware of the need to ensure that whomever we chose to represent us in this region must absolutely have prior marine experience," said McCurdy.
