The first 55 Eastbay FB is now readying for shipment to her new owner. In addition to undergoing rigorous inspections by our QA and management team members, this new vessel also got out on the water for a thorough sea trial inspection. The 55FB was put through its paces, including a lengthy engine test across the RPM range. At full throttle, the 55FB reached over 35 knots (!), as shown by the SOG reading on the chartplotter. [More]
The very first 54 Heritage EU is nearing completion at the factory. Interior work and systems installations continue as other teams complete exterior equipment and finishing work. In June our GB Marketing team will take this boat up the coast for a full photo and video production shoot. Until then, here are some "behind the scenes" photos shot recently at our factory. The first 55 Eastbay FB – the flybridge-topped version of the flagship Eastbay model – will deliver this summer to her new owner in the Northeast US (and is tentatively scheduled to appear at the Newport and Norwalk boat shows this fall). Each new day seems busier than the last as teams continue to work on new models at the GB factory – including the 54 Heritage EU. The first 54EU in production marked an important milestone last week: decking, when the hull and deckhouse are joined together during the construction process. Our last update showed photos of each of these parts in layup and coming out of the mold, and since that time quite a lot has happened. [More]
The first 54 Heritage EU makes her international boat show debut this September at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, and other 54s are already scheduled for delivery this year to new buyers. All of which means that production teams at the factory are now in full swing. Work on the hull and deckhouse continue as build-out starts on interior modules, while other teams ready for engine and systems installations.

At left is a photo of a brand new 53 Aleutian RP taken during a factory sea trial before finishing, inspection and shipping to her new owner in the Pacific Northwest. As you can see, this 53RP sports a beautiful Flag Blue hull – a gelcoat color common among the many Eastbay yachts we've built but new to the 53RP. Interested?
